Marketing & Sales Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

To ensure effective sales and marketing activities in order to raise sales and profits. The ideal candidate should have a very good marketing know-how, constantly new and innovative ideas and a good network. He or she must be self-driven, hard-working, hands-on and adaptable to our working hours, which are similar to the park’s opening hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•       To direct and conceptualise all marketing activities.

•       Marketing Plan, Media Plan, Action Plan

•       Including Above the line (ATL), Below the line (BTL) communication tools

•       Sales promotions

•       Special Events (b2b, b2c)

•       E-commerce tools

•       Creative product management

•       To innovatively push the business forwards through any other means possible.

•       To fill the quieter periods of operation with scheduled events and promotions to increase the footfall as well during low season.

•       Secure ties with local businesses to develop opportunities of symbiotic relationships.

•       To liaise with Operations Manager in order to ensure that the park is run with integrity and that it is always perceived positively by the public.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

•       People Management, Planning, Foster Teamwork, Giving Feedback, Budgets Control, Self‑Motivated, Multi-tasking, Resolving Conflict

•       Extensive experience in all aspects of developing and marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.

•       Ability to oversee and direct marketing, advertising, and promotional staff and activities.

•       At least 5 years experience in the field of sales and marketing, preferably in the field of Leisure, Entertainment or Hospitality Management.

•       Must have a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

•       Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English and Arabic.

•       Between 30-45 years old

•       Nationality preference:  Arabs

•       Gender: Male/Female

EDUCATION: 

•       Minimum Educational Attainment: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

OTHER ATTRIBUTES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB 

•       A friendly nature and outgoing personality

•       Detail orientation with value placed upon accuracy.

•       A 6 days working week of 48+ hours

•       Working hours will be mainly during opening hours (esp. evenings and weekends)

•       Unsocial hours are a necessity due to the nature of the amusement park industry
